Volunteer Spotlight: Jon Munro

J_Munro_9_jpgJon Munro has been a part of the Commonwealth community since 2006 and is currently a supervisor in our Service Center. In this role, Jon coordinates day-to-day operations, oversees personnel, guides efficiency initiatives, and serves as an escalation resource to our associates and advisors. He is one of a select few who were elected to a year-long appointment on the Commonwealth Cares board for a 2013–2014 term. (more…)

My Favorite Giving Back Moment: Read to a Child

I’ll admit: initially, I signed up to be a mentor in the Read to a Child program so that I could reread some of my childhood favorites. I remember the characters in the worlds created by Judy Blume, Beverly Cleary, and Lois Lowry just as well as I remember the real-life kids from my neighborhood. (more…)
